At the IOCL Panipat site, Laxmi Construction executed an extensive industrial project involving comprehensive pipeline fabrication, heavy structural erection, and equipment installation. A defining feature of this project was the handling of diverse metallurgy; the team worked with Carbon Steel (CS), Stainless Steel (SS), Galvanized Steel (GALV), and NACE-compliant alloys designed specifically to endure sour gas and corrosive process environments.
The scope involved fabrication and field erection of process and utility pipelines, requiring certified welders capable of meeting strict metallurgical standards. Beyond piping, the project team assembled and erected heavy steel support structures, platforms, and elevated pipe racks, alongside the positioning and alignment of heavy process equipment.
To guarantee operational safety and compliance with refinery standards, every segment underwent non-destructive testing (NDT), including radiographic and ultrasonic inspection, followed by hydro testing to verify pressure retention under operational conditions.
Through rigorous quality assurance, effective site management, and strict adherence to environmental and occupational health standards, Laxmi Construction successfully completed all miscellaneous piping and structural packages to support IOCL’s ongoing refining operations.
